General Information
This was the 3rd-Generation of ADI’s ADSL chipsets, and was released in 1999. It was based on, and retains compatability with, the AD20msp918 (and before it the AD20msp910), featuring a lower chip-count and improved performance.

These 3-chip chipsets have been used to develop both ADSL ethernet modems (the chipset provides every required element for a modem), and also combined Routers and/or Bridges. The fundamental modem chipset has also been mixed with USB and PCI controllers (amongst others) to offer a variety of combo-ADSL modems.

At the time of writing (Oct 2005) there are 3 generations of this chipset:
  1. AD20msp910
  2. AD20msp918 (this model, adds Annex-B + ATM)
  3. AD20msp930 (lower chip count + more MIPS)
This was the last of this particular generation of chipsets.

These pages are a LAMP-development of the original Modem-Help, UK site (most of the old HTML pages still exist, but havn’t been updated for quite some time). That site, in it’s turn, was a transfer from the first html site on free-pages at Freeserve (still maintained, but just re-direction pages to this site).
