Notes and Comments

The reference to this modem was first discovered by Modem-Help within a recent, generic Vista/Vista64-bit driver provided for the Acer Aspire 5050 range of laptop computers (use the EEPROM ID--Specs page--to search for it. The D-Link USA drivers are 32-bit only.

This is the second revision of this model, with a different chipset and a different internal reference. Fortunately, the USA drivers (and the Aspire drivers mentioned above) will load either of them.

According to the WikiDevi listing this model has the same FCC ID as the Atheros CB62 (‘KA2DWLAG660B2’ redirects to ‘PPD-AR5BCB-00062’).

These pages are a LAMP-development of the original Modem-Help, UK site (most of the old HTML pages still exist, but havn’t been updated for quite some time). That site, in it’s turn, was a transfer from the first html site on free-pages at Freeserve (sadly, now gone).
