general info: This is a development of the MD565X but was an Ambient Technologies-only chipset (the main difference is that the DSP contains internal rather than external ROM & it is a V.90-only chipset).

Intel MSO both supply & support the chipset.

E-Tech E56AVP 56K Data/Fax/Speakerphone External

A dual V.90/x2TM "hard" modem (all modem functions in silicon) which comes in external, ISA PnP & PCMCIA versions with speakerphone options.

Ambient Technologies became part of Intel, and Intel now no longer uses the Ambient name. Intel continues to supply & support this chipset.
