general info:		Produced with both 1 MB & 2 MB ROM's (don't mix drivers). This is very popular as a PCMCIA modem, but the same DSP is used within ISA, PCI & Serial (External) modems. The USB version uses a different DSP to all other types.

known conflicts:		winMe - Diamond state that the modem firmware cannot be upgraded under winMe & suggest that you use win98. win2000 - Actiontec warn not to flash under win2000 as Flash32 can cause a general lockup of the computer.

A flash-upgradeable chipset that supports either V.90 or K56Flex^TM, & often used in PC-Cards (PCMCIA). The Windows modem driver-name may change during upgrades - the modem in Dial-Up Networking Properties (General page) will need changing if so.
