| A software Linux- & Windows-only chipset that supports both V.90 and K56FlexTM with Speakerphone options. ISA drivers seem to be interchangeable between suppliers (use at your own risk), but there are 3 different PCI drivers. This modem has caused much grief to many owners (cf Conexant SoftK56). It is essentially a serial-port on a circuit-board with all modem functions implemented in software, & therefore low cost. Development of software for the ISA boards was abandoned in April 1999.
09 Jan 2002 Thanks to Michael House for (finally) a Motorola download address. |
