This is Home Base for a step-by-step trouble-shooter for those whose modem will not connect to their Internet Service Provider [ISP]. Apart from mentioning our wonder at the fact that you are able to read this at all, the sections that follow should help you to identify why the modem will not connect, & perhaps to fix it.

The troubleshooter was originally written for users of the Windows^® 95/98 operating system. I've re-written it to make sure that it can be used with any OS, but it does go into more detail for Windows^® users. It will certainly be of interest to all modem users that want to know a little bit more about their modem & computer system.
