12 January 2002 Links for Conexant SoftK56 Linux drivers added...
This is a rare occurrence... additions to this site. Almost all my time is going into producing the database for the new site & virtually none of my time is available for updates to this one. However, when the largest producer of modem chipsets in the world starts showing signs of real customer care it has to be an event worthy of note.
Building the database is going well. I've provided myself with the means to enter both Manufacturers, Names & Logos, and am currently adding the same facility for Links. Various stumbling blocks have been cleared out of the way & I currently have a clear route ahead, it just needs to be done.

I get lots of emails via this site, and most of them I cannot act upon - I just do not have the time. Certain ones are too valuable to ignore, however. On 16 Dec Kit Peters notified me of Generic Conexant drivers for both the HCF & HSF chipsets. Then on 3 Jan Alessio notified me of official Conexant Linux drivers. These latter are produced under contract by MBSI - a Canadian company - and are provided in both source & binary RPM formats. An AT-Command reference manual was also available, so I borrowed it & put it on this site for alternative download.
